Historique
A un kilomètre du château, la chapelle Notre-Dame de Liesse a été élevée en 1619 suite à un miracle et à l'initiative de Catherine Doulé, épouse de Pierre de Biet, seigneur de Maubranche. Un hospice et des jardins accompagnaient ce lieu de pèlerinage desservi par les Carmes de Bourges. En 1808, le comte Marie-Barthélémy de Bar en fit la chapelle funéraire des châtelains de Maubranche. Elle est reconstruite à partir de 1872 sous la direction d'Emile Bussière et d'Albert Pascault. En 1889, Henri Duchêne enferme la chapelle dans un mur de verdure persistante. Sur le parterre devant la chapelle est érigé un monumental groupe en marbre blanc, sculpté par Félix de Chaumont-Quitry après la mort de son épouse en 1907.

History
A kilometre from the château, the chapel Notre-Dame de Liesse was raised in 1619 following a miracle and at the initiative of Catherine Doulé, wife of Pierre de Biet, lord of Maubranche. A hospice and gardens accompanied this place of pilgrimage served by the Carmelites of Bourges. In 1808, the comte Marie-Barthélémy de Bar made it the funerary chapel of the lords of Maubranche. It is rebuilt from 1872 under the direction of Emile Bussière and Albert Pascault. In 1889, Henri Duchêne encloses the chapel in a wall of persistent greenery. On the terrace before the chapel is erected a monumental group in white marble, sculpted by Félix de Chaumont-Quitry after the death of his wife in 1907.
