Historique
Hôtel construit en 1492, et acheté en 1657 par François Minard, maître des courriers du Berry, qui commande à Antoine Basseville, maître maçon, l'agrandissement du bâtiment qui sert également de bureau pour la messagerie. L'hôtel présentait un plan symétrique axé, avec trois ailes bordant une cour fermée par un mur. Le corps central sur rue était flanqué de deux ailes qui rejoignaient le mur de l'édifice mitoyen, l'hôtel du Sauvage. L'aile droite sur cour, en retour d'équerre, a été détruite entre 1760 et 1765. History
Hotel built in 1492, and purchased in 1657 by François Minard, master of the couriers of Berry, who commissions Antoine Basseville, master mason, to enlarge the building which also served as an office for the messenger service. The hotel presented an axially symmetrical plan, with three wings bordering a courtyard closed off by a wall. The central block facing the street was flanked by two wings which joined the wall of the adjoining building, the hôtel du Sauvage. The right wing facing the courtyard, at right angles, was destroyed between 1760 and 1765. The façades present geometric decoration influenced by the Louis XIII style. Certain procedures, such as the broad tables beneath the windows with sills formed by balustrades, the rustication which frames the scrolling of the volutes, the simplification and thickening of the mouldings formed
