Historique
Cette usine a fonctionné de 1890 à la veille de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, d'abord pour fabriquer de la chaux, puis, à partir de 1923, du ciment naturel. Elle a été définitivement fermée en 1974. La chaîne de production (canal, carrière, monte-charge, bâtiment du treuil, wagonnets, rails, fours à chaux, halle, bâtiment de la cimenterie, machine à vapeur, ateliers...) est intégralement conservée. Les bâtiments ont été construits lors de différentes campagnes, entre 1890 et 1925. Cette usine constitue un témoin privilégié de la production de chaux et de ciment en Val d'Aubois, et, au plan national, un exemple particulièrement complet d'une grande usine ayant conservé son équipement technique et évoquant bien l'ère industrielle et l'époque de la vapeur comme moteur.

History
This factory operated from 1890 to the eve of the Second World War, first to manufacture lime, then, from 1923, natural cement. It was definitively closed in 1974. The production line (canal, quarry, hoist, winch building, wagons, rails, lime kilns, shed, cement factory building, steam engine, workshops...) is entirely preserved. The buildings were constructed during different campaigns, between 1890 and 1925. This factory constitutes a privileged witness to the production of lime and cement in Val d'Aubois, and, at the national level, a particularly complete example of a large factory having preserved its technical equipment and evoking the industrial era and the age of steam as a motor.
