Historique

History
Seat of a seigneury from 1455, the construction of the present château dates from 1666. It was sold as a national property at the Revolution. Initially conceived on a U-shaped plan, it included several upper and lower chambers, granaries, kitchens, stables, barns, an orangery, a cistern, as well as other elements usually present in this type of building. During the 19th century, the central main building, the chapel built in 1742, the northern pavilion and the outbuildings disappeared, leaving only the southern wing and the south-east pavilion composing "the château" and the northern wing converted into a farmhouse. The dwelling comprises one storey and five bays. Its roof with bent pantiles in slate is pierced with tall dormers with wing-shaped sides and curved pediments, rising well above the line of the roof bend. The pavilion, with two storeys, houses rooms in enfilade. Of simple appearance, the panelled rooms, receive light from both sides and are equipped with fireplaces.
