Oeuvre de l'architecte Hubert Blanche de Feydeau (église et mobilier) , l'église devait faire partie d'une "cité paroissiale" (salle des fêtes, gymnase, bibliothèque) , projet non réalisé faute de crédits. La construction de l'église débute en 1935. L'église est construite sur un plan basilical à vaisseau unique (44 mètres sur 24). De chaque côté, deux étroits collatéraux réduits à de simples passages desservent trois chapelles. L'édifice est construit sur une ossature de piliers et d'arcs polygonaux en béton armé. Les formes sont simplement soulignées par des linteaux et des chaînes de béton. Au dessus du porche en plein cintre, Georges Chaumot sculpte dans la pierre de Lavoux, une frise en bas-relief représentant trois évocations de la vie de saint André, qui constitue la seule décoration extérieure. L'intérieur offre un remarquable exemple d'adaptation des principes de l'architecture Art Déco à l'art sacré.
