History
The dwelling is the result of the conversion of a former tobacco drying shed and testifies to the evolution of the industrial and paper-making history of Angoulême and its surroundings. Adjoining the factory, this owner's residence has interior arrangements very well preserved and of quality. The drawing rooms, dining room, kitchen, monumental staircase as well as the bathrooms and service spaces are original. One of the bathrooms contains a decoration in faïence from Gien the motif of which in wisteria dates from the 1930s. This house is considered an example of the art of living of the great bourgeoisie in the first half of the 20th century.
