Après la destruction de l'hôtel d'Escoville en 1944, un nouveau bâtiment est construit à partir de 1953 pour installer la chambre de commerce. Le projet est mené par les architectes Laloue et Morizet. Les sculpteurs Pellerin et Charles-Emile Pinson réalisent quatre allégories en creux, sur la façade, représentant le commerce, l'industrie, l'agriculture et la pêche. L'escalier monumental du hall est réalisé à partir d'une structure métallique avec limon en tôle de section carrée. La cage est éclairée par des dalles de verre. History
After the destruction of the hôtel d'Escoville in 1944, a new building is constructed from 1953 to house the chamber of commerce. The project is led by architects Laloue and Morizet. The sculptors Pellerin and Charles-Emile Pinson create four allegorical reliefs on the façade, representing commerce, industry, agriculture and fishing.
