Hôtel urbain du 18ème siècle, construit pour Henry-François de Bricqueville, Maréchal de France, dans les années 1780. Son implantation en alignement de voirie constitue l'une des originalités de cet édifice et dénote l'astuce du maître-d'oeuvre : la parcelle peu profonde est implantée en limite des anciens remparts avec aménagement d'une petite surface de jardin délimitée par des balustres, le tout s'organisant autour de la cour. L'harmonie de la composition architecturale d'ensemble, ainsi que l'équilibre des gabarits sont remarquables. La sobriété du style architectural est très représentative de la construction de cette époque. La façade arrière, bien que plus austère, n'en dénote pas moins un intérêt équivalent. Les intérieurs ne comportent aucun décor significatif mais ont conservé leur distribution d'origine, et un escalier très harmonieux.

History
Urban mansion of the 18th century, built for Henry-François de Bricqueville, Marshal of France, in the 1780s. Its alignment with the street frontage constitutes one of the original features of this building and reflects the ingenuity of the master builder: the shallow plot is situated at the boundary of the old ramparts with the arrangement of a small garden area delimited by balusters, the whole organized around the courtyard. The harmony of the overall architectural composition, as well as the balance of the proportions, are remarkable. The sobriety of the architectural style is very representative of construction of this period. The rear facade, although more austere, nonetheless shows an equivalent level of interest. The interiors contain no significant decoration but have retained their original layout, and a very harmonious staircase.
