Ancienne résidence des évêques de Bayeux dès la fin du 11e siècle, le château de Neuilly est implanté sur un site stratégique cumulant intérêt économique et rôle défensif. Forteresse à l'origine, résidence épiscopale aux 12e et 13e siècles, occupée au début du 15e siècle par les troupes anglaises, le château a conservé des éléments architecturaux datant de l'époque romane et du début de l'ère gothique : grande croisée à lancette et arcades d'une ancienne tour du logis, baies gothiques de la chapelle. La grange a également conservé ses dispositions du 14e siècle, avec ses grandes arcades de la façade. History
Former residence of the bishops of Bayeux from the end of the 11th century, the château de Neuilly is located on a strategic site combining economic interest and defensive role.
