Historique
La fondation du couvent des Augustins est sujette à plusieurs datations. Cependant, il est acquis que la construction de léglise dura plus dun siècle, jusquen 1511, tandis que le choeur fut réalisé de 1463 à 1477. Après un incendie, en 1627, léglise fut, pour une grande part, rebâtie et dimportants efforts furent portés sur lembellissement du choeur qui reçut, notamment, une coupole octogonale sur trompes avec lanternon. La restauration du cloître fut amorcée en 1622 et achevée en 1630. Du milieu du 17ème siècle au milieu du 18ème, létat du couvent va cependant se dégrader et, sous la Révolution, le couvent et léglise sont vendus comme biens nationaux. En 1806, lancienne église conventuelle est érigée en succursale, sous le vocable de Saint-Césaire, puis en paroisse, en 1826.

History
The foundation of the convent of the Augustinians is subject to several datings. However, it is established that the construction of the church lasted more than a century, until 1511, whilst the choir was executed from 1463 to 1477. After a fire, in 1627, the church was, for the most part, rebuilt and important efforts were devoted to the embellishment of the choir which received, notably, an octagonal dome on squinches with a lantern. The restoration of the cloister was begun in 1622 and completed in 1630. From the middle of the 17th century to the middle of the 18th, the state of the convent nevertheless deteriorated and, under the Revolution, the convent and church are sold as national property. In 1806, the former conventual church is erected as a subsidiary church, under the title of Saint-Césaire, then as a parish, in 1826.
