Historique
Observatoire marégraphique muni d'un marégraphe totalisateur construit en Allemagne et installé en 1884. Il commence à fonctionner en 1885 et en 1897 le niveau Zéro, dit zéro du Nivellement Général de la France, est établi. History
Tidal gauge observation station equipped with a totalisator tide gauge built in Germany and installed in 1884. It begins to function in 1885 and in 1897 the Zero level, called the Zero of the General Levelling of France, is established. The whole consists of a keeper's residence and the tide gauge building which presents the form of a chapel. An underwater gallery arranged so as to eliminate all swell movement leads to a well situated at the lower level.
