The estate of Tour Sainte, organised in its present form by Amédée Armand, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Marseille and founder of the Gardanne mines, in the second half of the 19th century, is a major work of landscape composition and an element of prime importance in Marseille's bastide heritage.
