The Ministère de la Culture's notice
Historique

History
Delivered for the return in September 1952, the school was ordered by the Ministry of National Education from the architects Arati, Boyer, Lestrade to whom the builder Jean Prouvé is associated. The first plans date from 1947. Jean Prouvé uses glass and steel designed in bent sheet forming a 'crutch'. Light components assemble by bolting with a view to mass production. The parts of rubble stone in exposed stone enhance the engineered elements. The plan is conceived in three types of spaces: circulation, cloakrooms and facilities; games room and classrooms; protected outdoor space. The façade panels are associated with panels in painted aluminium with portholes.
