Historique
Eglise fondée au 5e siècle en l'honneur des apôtres Pierre et Paul. Dès le 16e siècle, le site est endommagé lors du percement du canal de Craponne. L'église est détruite en 1536 pour fortifier la ville, puis restaurée à la fin du 16e ou au début du 17e siècle (l'église primitive de plan tréflé -d'origine paléochrétienne- est utilisée comme sacristie). Au sud, s'étendent les bâtiments d'un prieuré agrandi au 19e siècle. L'église constitue le dernier témoin des nombreuses chapelles du cimetière des Alyscamps avec l'église Saint-Honorat et la chapelle de la Genouillade.

History
Church founded in the 5th century in honour of the apostles Peter and Paul. From the 16th century onwards, the site is damaged during the piercing of the Craponne canal. The church is destroyed in 1536 to fortify the city, then restored at the end of the 16th or beginning of the 17th century (the primitive trefoil-plan church - of paleo-Christian origin - is used as a sacristy). To the south extend the buildings of a priory enlarged in the 19th century. The church constitutes the last witness of the numerous chapels of the cemetery of the Alyscamps with the church of Saint-Honorat and the chapel of the Genouillade.
