Historique
Pavillon de chasse de style Napoléon III édifié autour de 1860 par la famille Du Pont de Compiègne. Le château a sans doute été construit en deux temps, d'abord la partie centrale en pan de bois, puis les deux ailes latérales (aile Sud en pan-de-bois, aile Nord en brique avec décor de plâtre). L'édifice est achevé en 1864. Les communs ont été construits vers 1885. L'ensemble possédait un décor polychrome, goût du 19ème siècle pour l'architecture pittoresque issue de la découverte de l'architecture traditionnelle française et étrangère. History
Hunting pavilion in the Napoleon III style built around 1860 by the Du Pont de Compiègne family. The castle was doubtless built in two stages, first the central part in timber framing, then the two side wings (South wing in timber framing, North wing in brick with plaster decoration). The building is completed in 1864. The outbuildings were built around 1885. The whole ensemble possessed polychrome decoration, reflecting the 19th century taste for picturesque architecture arising from the discovery of traditional French and foreign architecture. Inside the central part, large wainscotted hall, wooden staircase with balusters, hall on the first floor with marble fireplace. Outside, south façade flanked by a double gallery.
