Historique
Le peintre Joël Unal et son épouse firent appel à l'architecte Claude Haüsermann afin d'élaborer les plans de leur demeure qui s'inscrit dans le corpus des maisons coques. La technique employée fut celle du béton armé sans coffrage permettant une véritable création sur le plan formel ainsi qu'une totale auto-construction. Les travaux furent entrepris en 1973 et s'achevèrent en 1990 à l'exception des peintures extérieures qui furent terminées en 2000.£L'édifice se compose de bulles accolées les unes aux autres suivant ainsi l'organisation de la vie familiale et les impératifs liés au site. Les espaces ne sont pas cloisonnés et une partie du mobilier est intégrée à l'architecture. Une piscine fut aménagée à partir de 1996, bordée par une terrasse qui fut agrandie en 2004 et une nouvelle bulle désolidarisée des autres fut inaugurée en 2008, offrant un nouvel espace pour une salle de bain supplémentaire.

History
Painter Joël Unal and his wife called upon architect Claude Haüsermann to draw up the plans for their residence which fits within the corpus of shell-form houses. The technique used was that of reinforced concrete without formwork allowing true creation on the formal level as well as complete self-construction. Work was undertaken in 1973 and was completed in 1990 except for the exterior paintings which were finished in 2000. The building is composed of bubbles adjoining one another thus following the organization of family life and the imperatives linked to the site. Spaces are not partitioned and part of the furnishing is integrated into the architecture. A swimming pool was fitted out from 1996, bordered by a terrace which was enlarged in 2004 and a new bubble separated from the others was inaugurated in 2008, offering a new space for an additional bathroom.
