La Rivoire est le résultat d'une création du début du 18e siècle, conçue dès l'origine dans sa totalité, comme une résidence de plaisance au coeur d'une exploitation agricole : acquisition des terres agricoles en 1714, réalisation des jardins et du château de 1723 à 1728, reprises des lambris et de quelques cheminées et achèvement des écuries en 1751. Le domaine a conservé l'intégralité de ses parties constituantes : le château implanté sur une vaste terrasse abritant une orangerie, un verger, la maison du jardinier ; au nord, la terrasse bordée d'une pièce d'eau allongée et prolongée à l'ouest par la cour des communs. Le domaine est entièrement clos de murs, enserrant à l'angle sud-est un colombier. On y accède par l'est par un portail monumental.

History
La Rivoire is the result of a creation from the early 18th century, conceived from the outset in its entirety, as a pleasure residence at the heart of an agricultural estate: acquisition of agricultural lands in 1714, realisation of gardens and castle from 1723 to 1728, reworking of panelling and some fireplaces and completion of stables in 1751. The estate has preserved all of its constituent parts: the château situated on a vast terrace sheltering an orangery, an orchard, the gardener's house; to the north, the terrace bordered by an elongated pool of water and extended to the west by the service courtyard. The estate is entirely enclosed by walls, enclosing at the south-east corner a dovecote. Access is from the east by a monumental gate.
