History
The present château is a former fortified house built in the early 17th century for Gilbert Vincenti, officer in the service of the seigneur of Ventadour. The original logis is doubled during the 18th century or at the beginning of the 19th century, as are the outbuildings of which a part dates back to the 17th century. This building is a good example of a fortified house whose residential architecture provided with defensive attributes evolved into a pleasure house or farm. The interior preserves an original fireplace and perhaps a French ceiling. The principal interest of this building lies in its system of machicolations on moulded corbels on the east and south façades.
