Le site d'implantation de la chapelle est ancien puisqu'un château bâti en 1249 s'y dressait initialement. Ce château délaissé par les Grimaldi est repris par la municipalité au début du XIXe siècle pour en faire le cimetière actuel qui ne cesse d'être agrandi dans les décennies suivantes notamment en 1875 puis en 1885 pour finir par prendre son aspect définitif en 1902.

History
The site of implantation of the chapel is ancient since a castle built in 1249 originally stood there. This castle abandoned by the Grimaldi is taken over by the municipality at the beginning of the 19th century to make it the current cemetery which continues to be enlarged in the following decades, notably in 1875 then in 1885 to finally take its definitive appearance in 1902.
