La chapelle est située en périphérie du village de La Salle. Elle était le siège de la confrérie des pénitents blancs de la paroisse affiliée par ses statuts à l'archiconfrérie de Notre-Dame de Gonfalon à Rome. Les confréries des Pananches et de Chirouze, situées sur la même commune, lui étaient rattachées même si elles disposaient chacune d'une chapelle particulière. La chapelle n'est pas orientée sans que l'on y trouve sa justification dans la configuration du terrain. L'activité de la confrérie est également attestée dans les périodes 1791-1793. History
The chapel is located on the outskirts of the village of La Salle.
