The house belongs to the type of "concentrated" houses which shelter both men and livestock in the same place. It was inhabited only from mid-December to mid-April. The family group was then reduced by winter emigration. For the rest of the year, the owners lived in the summer chalets. The typology of its architecture is representative of mountain dwelling. The stable and the fougagne are distributed by a small vestibule which appears to have been added afterwards, as too was the interior staircase giving access to the upper storey. The fuste, which houses the threshing floor and the barn, the external galleries called soleilloirs are characteristic. The materials used according to the different levels (foundation and first storey in masonry; upper levels in timber framing) are also a common feature of rural architecture in the briançonnais. Several elements allow the construction to be dated to the early 18th century: plastered stable; relieving arch above the fougagne or the storage room. The present state does not correspond to that of origin. The interior staircase and perhaps the yard were added later. After 1911, removal of the lower soleilloir and raising of the barn due to change in the level of the external ground. The house preserves a collection of domestic objects from various sources, illustrating the way of life in mountain briançonnais. This house is also the birthplace of the artist Julien Faure-Vincent.
