Historique
Edifice parallélépipédique couvert par un toit à longs pans et surmonté d'un clocher-arcade. La nef unique est prolongée par un choeur carré contigu à la sacristie. Le mur de chevet est orné de peintures murales sur l'encadrement d'une fenêtre murée et de part et d'autre de celle-ci : préparatifs du sacrifice d'Isaac, Jacob tenant par la main son plus jeune fils et pleurant son départ. Cette iconographie inhabituelle et l'emplacement de ce décor contredisent la tradition prétendant que l'église fut construite en 1684, après la révocation de l'Edit de Nantes. Il pourrait s'agir d'un ancien temple protestant qui aurait dû être détruit en 1684, mais a été transformé en église. Les peintures pourraient dater du début du 17e siècle.

History
Parallelepiped edifice covered by a roof with long slopes and surmounted by a porch tower arcade. The single nave is extended by a square choir contiguous to the sacristy. The chevet wall is ornamented with mural paintings on the frame of a blocked window and on either side of it: preparations of the sacrifice of Isaac, Jacob holding by the hand his youngest son and weeping at his departure. This unusual iconography and the location of this decoration contradict the tradition claiming that the church was built in 1684, after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes. It could be an old Protestant temple which would have had to be destroyed in 1684, but was transformed into a church. The paintings could date from the beginning of the 17th century.
