History
A primitive church was constructed in the course of the 13th century. This consists of two lateral chapels, vaulted with a rib vault bearing on sculpted or plain corbels, of Gothic workmanship. In the 18th century, the church was presumably enlarged and repaired, the flat-ended choir is decorated with a wooden high altar. A square bell tower flanks the south side of the chevet and houses the sacristy on the ground floor. The bronze bell bears the date 1530. In 1998, traces of wall paintings dating from the 14th century were discovered, representing an allegory of vices. The style of this decoration is to be compared with the painted ensembles of the chapels of the Hautes-Alpes and the county of Nice at the same period.
