La boutique de confiserie Sérardy père, installée depuis 1886, a été reprise en 1898 par son fils Bernard qui la fit réaménager et décorer en 1907 et y créa sa spécialité de chocolat, les « palets d'or ». Véritable institution moulinoise, elle a connu un succès qui perdure aujourd'hui dans un cadre exceptionnellement conservé dans toutes ses dispositions d'origine.
Description
Au rez-de-chaussée d'une maison moulinoise traditionnelle du XVIIIe siècle formant l'angle de deux rues, la boutique Sérardy présente une devanture vitrée en bois à deux faces identiques. Elles sont réunies par un angle coupé qui réserve une entrée abritée surmontée d'un important cartouche à « cuirs » et d'une enseigne en ferronnerie. A l'intérieur, la boutique adopte un style Louis XVI/1900. Les deux parois de la pièce sont garnies de placards-vitrines en bois peint en blanc souligné de motifs dorés. L'angle coupé est occupé par une grande glace ornée d'une agrafe sculptée de guirlandes de roses. Le plafond circulaire est peint d'un trompe-l'oeil de ciel parsemé de roses et d'oiseaux, bordé d'une balustrade en perspective. Le sol de la pièce est en mosaïque de carrelage à semis de fleurettes. A l'avant des placards sont disposés des meubles-vitrines assortis aux placards.

The confectionery shop Sérardy père, established since 1886, was taken over in 1898 by his son Bernard who had it remodelled and decorated in 1907 and created his specialty of chocolate, the « golden discs ». Description
On the ground floor of a traditional Moulin house from the 18th century forming the corner of two streets, the Sérardy shop presents a wooden glazed storefront with two identical faces. They are joined by a cut corner which provides a sheltered entrance topped by a substantial cartouche with "leather" ornamentation and an ironwork sign. Inside, the shop adopts a Louis XVI/1900 style. The two walls of the room are fitted with painted wood display cabinets in white highlighted with gilt motifs. The cut corner is occupied by a large mirror decorated with a brooch carved with garlands of roses. The circular ceiling is painted with a trompe-l'oeil sky scattered with roses and birds, bordered by a balustrade in perspective. The floor of the room is in mosaic tiling with a scattering of small flowers. In front of the cabinets are display case furniture matching the cabinets.
