Historique
Edifice construit entre 1768 et 1770 à l'emplacement de l'abbaye médiévale d'Ebreuil dont le déclin a provoqué le remplacement par un établissement hospitalier confié l'ordre des Charitains. Le long bâtiment principal sud, bâti sur les fondements du bâtiment conventuel, s'accompagne de deux ailes plus basses en retour sur une cour intérieure. Celle-ci, occupant l'emplacement de l'ancien cloître démoli, est close côté nord par l'église abbatiale et par un portail monumental à fronton, fermé par une grille de ferronnerie. History
Building constructed between 1768 and 1770 on the site of the medieval abbey of Ebreuil whose decline led to its replacement by a hospital establishment entrusted to the order of the Charitains. The long main south building, built on the foundations of the conventional building, is accompanied by two lower side wings set back around an interior courtyard. This courtyard, occupying the site of the former demolished cloister, is closed on the north side by the abbey church and by a monumental gateway with a pediment, closed by a wrought-iron grille. The architecture is in the neoclassical style of the period, particularly in hospital architecture. Inside, on the ground floor, longitudinal corridors lead to common areas; on the first floor, individual bedrooms.
