History
Occupying a motte surrounded by a water-filled moat and no doubt built on the site of a medieval building, the château was constructed at the end of the 17th century and supplemented in the 19th century with outbuildings and dependencies. Around a quadrangular courtyard accessible by a bridge, is arranged a set of buildings characteristic of Bourbon architecture in their materials and workmanship. The gatehouse, in bricks with brown lozenge patterns, consists of a doorway flanked by two pavilions. The main dwelling, also in lozenged bricks, is composed of a long low wing. The interior has retained its original fittings.
