Construite en 1929, la maison a été conçue par les architectes vichyssois Chanet et Liogier. Son architecture se rattache à un style régionaliste proche du néobasque : silhouette massive, pan de bois, lucarnes à large encadrement cintré. S'y ajoute un emprunt à l'Art Déco pour le portail extérieur et la porte d'entrée. De même pour l'intérieur, dans l'ornementation des pièces (peintures murales, papier peint stylisé de Henri Stéphany, marqueterie de paille).

History
Built in 1929, the house was designed by Vichy architects Chanet and Liogier. Its architecture is related to a regionalist style close to neo-Basque: massive silhouette, timber framing, dormers with wide rounded moulding. Added to this is borrowing from Art Deco for the external portal and entrance door. Similarly for the interior, in the ornamentation of the rooms (mural paintings, stylized wallpaper by Henri Stéphany, straw marquetry).
