Description
La semi-provisoire de Vassogne a été édifiée en 1919 pour loger temporairement la famille Hautemont, dans l'attente de la reconstruction de leur maison détruite par les bombardements. Le contexte de sa création explique sa simplicité et sa précarité structurelles. Les matériaux sont des remplois des décombres du village : pierre, brique, bois et tommettes. Le plan s'organise autour d'une pièce à vivre centrale qui dessert deux chambres latérales et un grenier dans les combles. Du mobilier provisoire (armoire, cuisinière, table, vaisselle, outils etc.) a également été conservé et restauré. La semi-provisoire offre ainsi un plus grand confort que les baraquements en bois types Adrian et STPU où en tôle ondulée type Nissen. En 1927, la maison définitive et le café de la famille Hautemont sont achevés sur la même parcelle que la semi-provisoire. N'étant pas démontable, cette dernière est alors transformée en annexe pour abriter des animaux et entreposer du matériel. Le provisoire devient ainsi pérenne par une transformation des usages .

Description
The semi-provisional building at Vassogne was erected in 1919 to temporarily house the Hautemont family, while awaiting the reconstruction of their house destroyed by bombardments.
