Monument erected by the United States in memory of the engagement of its troops in the Château-Thierry sector in July 1918, during the 2nd Battle of the Marne; inaugurated in 1930 (date inscribed), it is the work of architect Paul-Philippe Cret of Philadelphia and the sculptures were executed by sculptor Alfred Bottiau (signature).
