Le site offre la particularité de conserver deux lignes de fortifications monumentales en excellent état. La date d'édification de ces remparts est située à la fin de l'époque gauloise. Le rempart qui ferme le site, vers le nord, est préservé sur la totalité de son tracé. Le second rempart fut aménagé afin de constituer deux espaces au sein de l'oppidum. Un système de clôture délimitait ces espaces dans lesquels paissaient des chevaux. Ces vestiges archéologiques s'inscrivent dans un cadre naturel composé de bois, de haies, de parcelles agricoles et de prairies.

History
The site offers the particularity of preserving two lines of monumental fortifications in excellent condition. The date of construction of these ramparts is situated at the end of the Gallic period. The rampart which closes off the site, towards the north, is preserved along its entire length. The second rampart was arranged in order to create two spaces within the oppidum. A system of enclosure delimited these spaces in which horses grazed. These archaeological remains are set within a natural setting composed of woodland, hedges, agricultural plots and meadows.
