Historique
Détruite à la fin du mois d'août 1918, l'église a été reconstruite en 1928-1929 sur les plans de l'architecte Julien Barbier. Le parti architectural nouveau s'inspire des caractères de l'architecture rurale traditionnelle et des volumes des basiliques paléochrétiennes. L'espace intérieur est couvert d'une voûte de ciment armé reposant sur des croisées d'arcs paraboliques. Le mobilier d'architecture et le décor, inachevé, ont été réalisés par certains des artistes les plus représentatifs de la période dans leur domaine (le ferronnier Richard Desvallières ; les peintres Jacques Joly et Louis Mazetier ; le maître-verrier Louis Barillet ; le mosaïste Jean Gaudin).

History
Destroyed at the end of August 1918, the church was rebuilt in 1928-1929 on the plans of architect Julien Barbier. The new architectural scheme is inspired by the characteristics of traditional rural architecture and the volumes of paleochristian basilicas. The interior space is covered by a reinforced cement vault resting on intersecting parabolic arches. The architectural fixtures and decoration, unfinished, were executed by some of the most representative artists of the period in their field (the ironworker Richard Desvallières; the painters Jacques Joly and Louis Mazetier; the master glazier Louis Barillet; the mosaicist Jean Gaudin).
