Epargnée par la guerre, la gare de Saint-Quentin fut détruite par un incendie en 1921. Reconstruite en 1926 par l'architecte Gustave Umbdenstock, en pleine période Art Déco, elle représente aujourd'hui un témoignage important de cette époque et de ce style, notamment par les décors intérieurs qu'elle abrite et plus particulièrement par la salle du buffet de la gare.

History
Spared by war, the Saint-Quentin railway station was destroyed by fire in 1921. Rebuilt in 1926 by architect Gustave Umbdenstock, in the full Art Deco period, it represents today an important testimony to this era and this style, notably through the interior decorations it contains and more particularly through the station buffet hall.
