Historique
Cimetière militaire allemand établi dans le prolongement du cimetière civil en 1917. Sa création est très certainement liée à la présence, à proximité, d'un important poste de secours ou d'un hôpital de campagne. Ce cimetière a été réaménagé dans les années 1930. 1704 combattants allemands y sont inhumés. En 1979, toutes les tombes ont été refaites en pierre, sous forme de croix latines pour les catholiques et les protestants, et sous forme de stèles pour les juifs. D'importants travaux de réaménagement ont eu lieu entre 1980 et 1987. Ce cimetière militaire associe quatre particularités : un environnement remarquable, un aménagement intérieur très original, la présence de stèles originelles et un monument aux morts originel parfaitement conservé et réalisé par l'architecte Scholzen, de Düsseldorf.

History
German military cemetery established in the extension of the civil cemetery in 1917. Its creation is most certainly linked to the presence, nearby, of an important first aid post or field hospital. This cemetery was remodelled in the 1930s. 1704 German combatants are buried there. In 1979, all graves were remade in stone, in the form of Latin crosses for Catholics and Protestants, and in the form of stele for Jews. Significant remodelling work took place between 1980 and 1987. This military cemetery combines four distinctive features: a remarkable setting, a very original interior layout, the presence of original stele and an original war memorial perfectly preserved and created by architect Scholzen, of Düsseldorf.
