L'église est citée au 13e siècle comme appartenant à l'archiprêtré de Treffort. Le plan en croix latine présente une nef prolongée par une entrée surmontée d'un clocher ajouté en 1865 par l'architecte Despierre. L'intérieur de la nef et son couvrement ont été refaits à la même époque. Au 14e ou 15e siècle, ajout de deux chapelles seigneuriales dont celle du nord qui conserve un décor peint (animal ailé, litre funéraire, damier ocre et blanc). L'abside conserve également des peintures murales du début du 15e siècle représentant de grandes scènes du Nouveau Testament (Jugement dernier ; apôtres et donateur ; châtiment des vices).

History
The church is cited in the 13th century as belonging to the deanery of Treffort. The Latin cross plan presents a nave extended by an entrance surmounted by a bell tower added in 1865 by architect Despierre. The interior of the nave and its covering were remade in the same period. In the 14th or 15th century, two seigneurial chapels were added, including the northern one which retains painted decoration (winged animal, funeral scroll, ochre and white checkerboard). The apse also preserves wall paintings from the early 15th century representing great scenes from the New Testament (Last Judgement; apostles and donor; punishment of vices).
