Historique
Ancien prieuré de bénédictines fondé au 9e siècle, dépendant de l'abbaye d'Ambronay, puis du chapitre métropolitain de Lyon, florissant aux 11e et surtout 12e siècles, transformé dans le courant des 15e, 16e et 17e siècles. Quasiment abandonné au 18e siècle, il est vendu en 1752 et transformé en maison de maître, appelée château de La Bruyère. Dans les dispositions de la résidence du 18e siècle, se distinguent quelques éléments de l'ancien prieuré : ancien logis prioral des 15e-16e siècles, vestiges de l'ancienne église des 12e-15e siècles et surtout la galerie ouest de l'ancien cloître roman du 12e siècle.

History
Former priory of Benedictine nuns founded in the 9th century, dependent on the abbey of Ambronay, then on the metropolitan chapter of Lyon, flourishing in the 11th and especially 12th centuries, transformed during the course of the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. Almost abandoned in the 18th century, it was sold in 1752 and transformed into a master's house, called the château de La Bruyère. In the layout of the 18th-century residence, a few elements of the former priory stand out: former prioral dwelling of the 15th-16th centuries, remains of the former church of the 12th-15th centuries and above all the west gallery of the former Romanesque cloister of the 12th century.
