Historique
Grange médiévale, ancienne dépendance de l'abbaye cistercienne de Bonnefont en Comminges, fondée vers 1136-1137. Grange sans doute contemporaine, mais elle n'apparaît dans les textes qu'à partir de 1246 ; probablement remaniée au 16e siècle. La grange est une construction rectangulaire à un étage. Les façades nord et ouest ne présentent pas d'ouverture au rez-de-chaussée, mais des jours en plein-cintre. La façade sud correspondant au logis conserve, en rez-de-chaussée, une porte médiévale et deux grandes croisées à l'étage. History
Medieval barn, former dependency of the Cistercian abbey of Bonnefont in Comminges, founded around 1136-1137. Barn probably contemporary, but it appears in the texts only from 1246; probably altered in the 16th century. The barn is a rectangular construction with one storey. The north and west façades present no opening on the ground floor, but round-arch openings. The south façade corresponding to the dwelling preserves, on the ground floor, a medieval door and two large cross-windows on the upper floor. The east façade presents a round-arch portal with sculptural decoration of roses and dentils, characteristic of southern Cistercian art. This barn is the last element that escaped the dismantling of the abbey in the 19th century, along with the converses building.
