Toutes les fontaines monumentales ont eu une importance considérable dans la vie des Martiniquais. Elles sont un élément décoratif, en même temps qu'elles assurent les besoins en eau des habitants. History
All monumental fountains had considerable importance in the lives of Martiniquans. They were a decorative element, whilst at the same time they provided water for the inhabitants' needs.
