Le puits du Pré du Gourd-Marin et le puits Combélibert sont des vestiges rares et particulièrement symboliques de l'exploitation houillère en France. Puits ouvert au début du 19e siècle. Vers 1850, modernisation du système de descente du personnel (la tour abritait une machine (disparue) destinée à la descente et à la remontée des mineurs). Le bâtiment des bains fut le premier de tout le bassin stéphanois (il contenait une piscine d'eau chaude destinée aux mineurs). L'ensemble des installations minières, arrêté en 1953, est devenue une zone résidentielle pavillonnaire.

History
The Pré du Gourd-Marin well and the Combélibert well are rare and particularly symbolic remains of coal mining in France. Well opened at the beginning of the 19th century. Around 1850, modernisation of the personnel descent system (the tower housed a machine (now disappeared) intended for the descent and ascent of miners). The bathing building was the first in the entire Saint-Étienne basin (it contained a hot water swimming pool intended for miners). All the mining installations, shut down in 1953, became a residential villa area.
