Birthplace of the Lafarge Coppée company, the Viviers site is a place of lime production since the end of the 18th century. The Lafarge frères company, established in the years 1850, launched the manufacture of Portland cement in 1868. The industrial elements date mostly from the years 1880 to 1920, except for the bases of the straight kilns, dating back to the years 1830-1840. Part of this ensemble are: the Cité Blanche, a workers' city dating from 1880, abandoned; the former sack mill, dating from 1910; a new workers' city, built in 1913 and still partially occupied; the Chapel of Saint-Victor, in the extension of this city, built in 1922 by Ardèche architect Siméon Baussan. The factory has always remained in activity and has continually renewed itself. It is now abandoned. The chapel is built in cement on a stone plinth. It adopts a Latin cross plan, with entrance via a porch tower erected against the side façade. The nave, of three bays, is vaulted with rib vault; the choir is formed of a polygonal apse of five sides.
