Casino municipal construit de 1922 à 1923 et relevant d'un ambitieux projet visant à relancer le thermalisme aixois, avec un établissement thermal, un hôtel-palace, un parc et un casino. La construction en est dirigée par Roger Barreau, architecte parisien de la Société Immobilière, qui n'est vraisemblablement pas l'auteur des plans. Le casino, édifié sur une ossature poteaux-poutres en béton armé, est décoré en staff avec des motifs Art Déco et des pilastres en trompe-l'oeil de marbre. En 1942, l'architecte Courrèges modifie ce décor, le remplaçant par une décoration néo-provençale, toujours en place. Une cheminée est ornée d'un bas-relief signé du sculpteur Botinelly représentant une frise de danseurs provençaux. Le casino est abandonné en 1993, désaffecté depuis 2002. Municipal casino built from 1922 to 1923 as part of an ambitious project to revive thermal tourism in Aix, with a thermal establishment, a palace hotel, a park and a casino.
