Chapelle des pêcheurs datant vraisemblablement de la deuxième moitié du 16e siècle. History
Chapel of fishermen dating probably from the second half of the 16th century. In 1957, while it was being used as a store for nets, Jean Cocteau executed there a painted decoration which covers the entire interior surface of the chapel and which is also present on the façade. Many local artists and craftsmen brought their contribution to it, including the painter Jean-Paul Brusset for the placement of the figures. Inaugurated in June 1957, this first chapel painted by Cocteau comprises five main scenes, the first two evoking Mediterranean life and the three following ones relating episodes from the life of Saint Peter. The chapel belongs to the prud'homie of the fishermen of Villefranche.
