Reconstruit en 1881 en bordure de l'Huisne et transformé en usine de pâte à papier, ce moulin a succédé vers 1863 à un ancien moulin à farine. Les plans sont dus à l'architecte chartrain Henri Bourgeois et ont été commandés par Joseph Abadie, industriel fondateur en 1866 d'une importante usine de papier à cigarettes dans la commune voisine du Theil. En 1919, cette petite unité occupait 16 ouvriers. Elle a cessé de fonctionner vers 1970. L'ensemble de l'outillage a disparu, à l'exception des turbines Brault, Rose et Teissier, constructeurs à Chartres.

History
Rebuilt in 1881 on the banks of the Huisne and converted into a pulp mill, this mill succeeded around 1863 a former flour mill. The plans are due to the Chartres architect Henri Bourgeois and were commissioned by Joseph Abadie, industrialist founder in 1866 of an important cigarette paper factory in the neighbouring commune of Le Theil. In 1919, this small unit employed 16 workers. It ceased to operate around 1970. All the equipment has disappeared, with the exception of the Brault, Rose and Teissier turbines, manufacturers in Chartres.
