Cette église dépendait du chapitre cathédral de Castres. Un premier édifice, fortifié, dont il subsiste le chevet et le portail, daterait du 14e siècle. La plus grande partie de la nef et plusieurs chapelles latérales ont été édifiées au cours du 16e siècle. Le clocher et diverses superstructures (porche) sont des restaurations ou additions du 19e siècle. Quelques fenêtres d'origine, à remplages flamboyants, soufflet et mouchettes, ont été conservées.

History
This church was dependent on the cathedral chapter of Castres. A first fortified edifice, of which the chevet and doorway remain, would date from the 14th century. The greater part of the nave and several lateral chapels were built in the course of the 16th century. The bell tower and various superstructures (porch) are restorations or additions of the 19th century. Some original windows, with flamboyant tracery, bellows and small curves, have been preserved.
