Abbaye cistercienne fondée dans la première moitié du 12e siècle (1133) , progressivement reconstruite au 18e siècle. Eglise édifiée entre 1769 et 1781 sur les plans de Jean Gruyer. Ensemble vendu comme bien national pendant la Révolution : église détruite. Installation d'une filature de coton dans le second quart du 19e siècle, filature qui fonctionne jusqu'à la fin du 19e siècle.

History
Cistercian abbey founded in the first half of the 12th century (1133), progressively rebuilt in the 18th century. Church built between 1769 and 1781 on the plans of Jean Gruyer. Complex sold as national property during the Revolution: church destroyed. Installation of a cotton mill in the second quarter of the 19th century, mill which operates until the end of the 19th century.
