Historique
Le site hydraulique appartenait au 11e siècle à un prieuré établi par l'abbaye Saint-Hubert et son utilisation est encore citée au 16e siècle. Au 17e siècle, l'emplacement était occupé par une fonderie de cuivre et au 18e siècle par une dépendance de la manufacture d'armes de Nouzonville. En 1834, le moulin bas est mentionné comme moulin à farine. L'ultime changement survient en 1859, avec la transformation des trois pôles (moulin haut, moulin médian et moulin bas) en entreprise de préparation des couleurs minérales, dirigée par un nommé Pierre Colin. History
The hydraulic site belonged in the 11th century to a priory established by the abbey of Saint-Hubert and its use is still mentioned in the 16th century. In the 17th century, the site was occupied by a copper foundry and in the 18th century by a dependency of the Nouzonville arms manufactory. In 1834, the lower mill is mentioned as a flour mill. The final change occurs in 1859, with the transformation of the three mills (upper mill, middle mill and lower mill) into a mineral colour preparation enterprise, run by a man named Pierre Colin. The lower mill ceased operations in 1918, the upper mill in 1925 and the middle mill in 1955. The buildings of the lower mill and middle mill, in rubble stone and render, have two storeys.
