History
The small chapel of Saint-Hilaire-des-Noyers is a modest building from the end of the 12th century, a remnant of the choir of an old church partially demolished in 1792, the year its use as a parish church ended. The interest of this chapel lies in its oak roof structure, with common rafters bearing roof trusses, precisely dated to the years 1198-1199. Saint-Hilaire-des-Noyers thus possesses one of the rare examples in France of a roof structure of this type.
