L'église de Pouldavid, à l'origine simple chapelle érigée en paroisse en 1880, est le résultat de trois campagnes principales de construction. De la première construction, au 14e siècle, subsiste la quasi totalité de l'intérieur de la nef. Du 15e siècle subsistent la façade ouest et le clocher. Au 16e siècle a lieu une vaste campagne de travaux avec la reconstruction du choeur, la reprise de l'ensemble de l'enveloppe extérieure de l'église, la reconstruction de la toiture et l'adjonction d'une chapelle seigneuriale au sud. Depuis, l'église n'a subi que des modifications ponctuelles : reprise du bas-côté nord au 18e siècle, adjonction d'une chapelle sur ce même bas-côté et construction d'une sacristie à l'est de la chapelle sud au 19e siècle. Le choeur a conservé des lambris peints, classés Monuments Historiques, vestiges d'un ensemble autrefois plus important qui devait illustrer en détail les différents épisodes de la Passion.

History
The church of Pouldavid, originally a simple chapel raised to a parish in 1880, is the result of three main building campaigns. From the first construction, in the 14th century, almost the entirety of the interior of the nave remains. From the 15th century remain the west façade and the bell tower. In the 16th century a vast campaign of works took place with the reconstruction of the choir, the overhaul of the entire external envelope of the church, the reconstruction of the roof and the addition of a seigneurial chapel to the south. Since then, the church has undergone only occasional modifications: overhaul of the north aisle in the 18th century, addition of a chapel on this same aisle and construction of a sacristy to the east of the south chapel in the 19th century. The choir has retained painted wainscoting, classified Monuments Historiques, remnants of a formerly more extensive ensemble which must have illustrated in detail the various episodes of the Passion.
