Calviac was, in the middle of the Middle Ages, the seat of a "castrum" and a chapel. Church mentioned from 1150 onwards. It still shows in plan its Romanesque origins: single nave, projecting transept and Benedictine chevet, whose choir communicated by a passage with the two adjacent absidioles. From the 13th century onwards, the church underwent alterations and restorations following damage caused by conflicts: façade in the 13th century, nave at the end of the 15th century and probably the transept, as well as the choir, re-vaulted at that time. In the following century, the wars of religion leave the building half ruined. In the 17th century, the wall bell tower is raised to the west, the vault of the choir repaired. In 1830, partitioning of the absidioles. The entrance door is flanked by two columns with twisted fluting topped with capitals dating from the end of Antiquity or the beginning of the Middle Ages.
