Le cimetière fut fondé en 1628, à l'extérieur des remparts sur un terrain acheté au seigneur d'Orthe et arriva à saturation en 1737 ; il abrite environ un millier de tombes. Les pierres tombales montrent, de 1633 à 1722, une judaïsation progressive des inscriptions funéraires.

History
The cemetery was founded in 1628, outside the ramparts on land purchased from the lord of Orthe and reached saturation in 1737; it contains approximately a thousand tombs. The tombstones show, from 1633 to 1722, a progressive Judaization of the funeral inscriptions.
