L'église actuelle est bâtie sur l'emplacement d'une ancienne église du 12e siècle. La première pierre fut posée le 18 mai 1775 et l'église achevée et consacrée en 1783. Elle fit l'objet de restaurations importantes en 1878 et 1933. Le clocher, dont la pointe s'était écroulée entre les deux guerres, fut reconstruit en béton armé en 1953.

History
The present church is built on the site of an ancient church of the 12th century. The foundation stone was laid on 18 May 1775 and the church was completed and consecrated in 1783. It underwent important restorations in 1878 and 1933. The bell tower, whose spire had collapsed between the two wars, was rebuilt in reinforced concrete in 1953.
